T&L catered our backyard wedding reception and they were FANTASTIC. We had a brunch buffet but they were still able to provide an hour of passed hors d'oeuvres for us, and they made everything feel elegant and move smoothly. Everything was absolutely delicious, and our guests raved about the food! The whole team day-of was spectacular and made sure that our guests had a great time and that my parents' kitchen and backyard were in beautiful shape at the end of the day. It was especially helpful that Tom contracted the tent vendor and the bartender as part of our total contract with T&L - having all three services under one umbrella made the management of the event so smooth. They also took all of my concerns about allergies and food intolerances seriously - we had guests coming with gluten intolerances, nut allergies, Passover restrictions, dairy sensitivities, you name it. Not only did Tom help us create a menu that made sure everyone could enjoy the brunch, he also made sure that everything was clearly labeled on the day. I cannot recommend T&L catering highly enough - they are a great local company, deliver amazing service, and provide simply spectacular catering. Thank you T&L! Marguerite Murad

We truly had a wonderful party because T&L Catering's staff was so attentive and helpful. They did a wonderful job of setting up the table linens and preparing a signature drink I had asked for with edible glitter! During the party I spilled some food on my white dress, and T&L's chief of staff was so helpful in helping me get the stain out immediately! She was always asking if me or my family members needed anything. Everything was well coordinated timing out the appetizers, to entree, to dessert. Ordered for Christmas dinner. the food came cold the day b4 with instructions for heating. Everything was amazing and flavorful. My one critique was The sirloin roast was a bit tough and even hard to slice... Maybe we just got a tougher cut of the meat but the flavor was still on point. T&L also catered my baby shower breakfast. Food was amazing! Will def be my go to for catering. very professional. michelle reuben

T&L Catering is an outstanding catering company to work with and made our wedding day incredible. We worked directly with both Tom and Pam throughout the planning process for our wedding, and they could not have been more helpful and accommodating when it came to making our day amazing. The amount of food/dining options they offer for a wedding reception is immense, and there are no wrong choices when it comes to your decision. Our guests raved about the selection and quality of the food — from cocktail hour to dinner to dessert, everything was outstanding. Everyone says that it’s so hard for the bride and groom to eat at their wedding reception, but our maitre d’ Georgeanne made sure that wasn’t the case, making sure that even though we were constantly running around talking to our guests, there was food ready for us and on our table at all times, she was absolutely tremendous. Overall, we can’t recommend T&L enough — their level of service from the planning process through the day of our event was unmatched, and the food was spectacular, they’re the best! Michael Yard

Tom was wonderful to work with, from the very beginning when we first reached out, to the day before our wedding with last minute questions. My husband and I had our wedding at my family farm, and hired T&L for the food and the tent/chairs/tables. Everything looked incredible, and the food was delicious!! Tom works with you every step of the way, and has over 40 years of experience with event planning like this. On the day of, Stephanie was our Maitre D for our wedding, and was marvelous. She made sure we were fed, served us dinner so we didn’t have to get up, and made all of our guests feel welcome. The bartenders and all of the staff were awesome too. I couldn’t believe how everything came together so wonderfully. Hire T&L! They are very professional, nice, and amazing to work with for wonderful, quality events that are above and beyond. I have used T&L Catering twice now and they do not disappoint! My guests raved about the food! In addition, the staff was very accommodating, I was not supposed to host the holidays at my house, but plans changed last minute. I contacted T&L less than a week in advance and they were able to cater my gathering! I highly recommend T&L Catering! Update December 2023: I have now used T&L Catering for a third time! I can’t write or speak enough praise about T&L Catering! We have been using T&L for so many of our special occasions, events, and holidays. Their food has consistently been extremely bountiful and absolutely delicious! Their packages are so hard to choose from because they offer so much variety! But you will never go wrong regardless of what you select!! Everything is so yummy! My mom loves cooking for the holidays- refuses to let anyone bring any food or even worse (to her), cater from a restaurant. “Nothing beats home cooked food” she says! But the last few years have been physically challenging for her. This year, I asked her if we could cater Christmas from T & L and she didn’t hesitate with her approval!! She was so happy and relieved when she saw all the delicious food from T & L. And the staff and owners are the sweetest and so accommodating. Jackie was our primary contact on the day of and she was simply amazing. She kindly made my husband and I plates and brought it to the bridal suite to make sure we got a few bites in before our first dance and all the commotion; and she consistently checked in on us to make sure we had everything we could need. Our family is so grateful. Sadly, we needed their services for a repass. We rented Mount Carmel hall in Berkeley Heights . It was the best decision I made that week ! The staff were very professional and friendly. The food was amazing, and the trays were never empty. I used T&L catering for my daughters first birthday at the Berkeley Heights location for about 75 people. Every one I dealt with during the process were some of the nicest, most pleasant people I have ever met, and the event exceeded expectations! I found T&L Catering through our wedding venue, James Ward Mansion, for our wedding in June 2024. From beginning to end, T&L was a warm but professional presence while planning our wedding. Although I cannot recommend James Ward due to several errors made by their staff, working with T&L was the silver lining during a stressful process. I communicated with Pam and Tom Tavalaro and their chef (sorry that I'm forgetting his name!) leading up to our event. They answered our many questions with care and provided such great information whenever we needed it. On the day of the wedding, they surprised us with a few extra dishes, including one that incorporated my husband's Caribbean heritage. Because our venue required a room flip, their staff also set up our table place settings and made everything beautiful. They were so thoughtful -- I definitely recommend them. Jaryn C.

This past Saturday, January 6th, we had my daughter's Sweet Sixteen at The Grand in Linden. I can't say enough about the staff at T&L Catering. Pam, Linda and Leo were patient and understanding with my questions and were quick to respond from the moment we booked the venue. The most important for me was taking my daughter's fish allergy very seriously. They changed their fry oil to accommodate us and that is very rare in the restaurant/catering business. On the day of the event the staff on premises; Lisa, Leo and Joe and their staff were professional and despite having snow that day, everyone was there to help in any way they could. The food was amazing and plentiful. The room at The Grand is lovely and I would definitely work with T&L Catering in the future. T & L in my opinion is the best caterer in the area. We ordered for 40 people for a recent birthday. There were loads of options at reasonable prices. There were a lot of moving parts that day but the one thing I didn't have to worry about were the food/drinks. Not only were they so attentive and communicative with me throughout the duration of our event. But the food was DELICIOUS! I am currently at Taste of Linden and I had the absolute pleasure of trying T&L Catering’s pasta in cream sauce with sausage and mascarpone. This pasta is divine. A friend recommended T&L Catering, this friend has been using them for all her family events and had all great things to say about them. I decided to do a bit of digging since I needed a catering company to use for one of our biggest school fundraisers. After contacting several catering companies, T&L Catering was great from beginning till end. It was a breakfast full of am delights, all breakfast was amazing.
